Universal Childrens Day The United Nations (UN) Universal Childrens Day, which was established in 1954, is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide. UNICEF, the United Nations Childrens Fund, promotes and coordinates this special day, which also works towards improving childrens welfare. What do spate do? However, other countries hold events on different dates, such as the fourth Wednesday in October (Australia) and November 14 (India). Universal Childrens Day is not observed in the United States, although a similar observance, National Childs Day, is held on the first Sunday in June. Public life Universal Childrens Day is a global observance and not a public holiday.Survey Saturday, Nov. 20, is Universal Childrens Day, as declared by the United Nations, and a new survey of children illuminates the wants and needs of kids living in poverty. TheSmall Voices, unsound Dreamssurvey questioned children ages 10 to 12 in 30 count ries throughout Africa, Asia and the Americas.
